Text Message

On Sunday, Melissa and Brynn stopped at our house for about a half hour (not long enough!) and during that time I asked Brynn if she was going to come stay at my house this summer. I was CLEARLY disappointed when Brynn didn't sound too crazy about the idea. But, hold on people, there is hope Brynn will come to Auntie's house this summer for a sleepover.

Last night while I was working out, I heard my phone beep which meant I had a text message. I was super excited to find out it was from Melissa, that included this picture of my sweetie pie goddaughter, Brynn.

And this is what she asked her Mommy...
"I'm ready to go to my Auntie Kelly's this summer."
"Can I wear this to the beach?"

Brynn....we are ready for you---and you can wear WHATEVER you want and we will do WHATEVER you want.....

WE LOVE YOU, BRYNN!

This is what we have been doing.....

Fantasy Baseball has begun. This means no more computer time for anyone but Jerry! He is anxiously awaiting the call to go back to work....but for now he is enjoying his free time volunteering at Larkin's school, hanging out with Bennett, running (yes, really running), challenging Alex on PS3 and talking baseball with Mason....talking A LOT of baseball.

I am obsessed with redoing our house, so instead of doing anything I should really do (like homework, laundry, making supper) I look at decorating blogs to find great ideas! My husband is going to be so happy to find out that Gypsy Leas is open this weekend!!

Do we really have a child old enough to be in driver's training? Yes, yes we do. It makes me very sad (for us) and very excited (for him)! Mason is such a great kid and keeps saying things such as "In three months I can drive you out to Grandma's." Ohhhhh boy. It is a whole new set of worries for us!

Alex loves the Play Station. I thought it would be a terrible thing....but it really has been good for him. It is used as a reward--which makes him read more, study more, and get his homework done as soon as he gets home from school. He has also gotten a lot closer to some of his friends that he plays with......and they all happen to be friendly, polite, and extremely nice kids!

Ring, ring. Ring, ring. We don't even bother to answer the phone anymore because we know it is going to be for Larkin. As annoyed as I get sometimes -I remember the HOURS I spent on the phone with friends. I really do love listening to her talk and giggle! She has a couple of great friends that she calls everyday to talk about things like books (yay!), clothes (yay!), and to plan the next adventure!

Bennett's "best friend" is Bennett W. They have gone to the same preschool for two years...and I have really enjoyed getting to know his mom. This past Saturday we spent two hours at Bounce Depot......running, jumping, sliding the entire time made for one tired boy Saturday afternoon! I even thought he was going to nap....but he didn't.

What do we have coming up? Jerry's heading back to work soon, I am looking forward to doing some decorating around the house, Mason starts baseball today, Alex is starting baseball in a couple of weeks, Larkin has a lot of Girl Scout events planned, and Bennett will be graduating from preschool. We have so much to look forward to--we are so lucky.

A Great Time!

We had a great time in Vegas! Unfortunately, we didn't take many pictures...but here is a picture that I LOVE! This was on Thursday night before we went to eat at Gallagher's. While in Vegas, we went to see Carrot Top (HILARIOUS!), and a Cirque de Soleil Show---we saw "O" which was really good, although it was so soothing I almost fell asleep! We also ate at a few other good restaurants including Fix in the Bellagio and Vic and Anthony's which is located in the Golden Nugget. It was an amazing trip--I love my family !

Less Than A Week!

On Wednesday night, Jerry and I will be flying out for Las Vegas with my parents & Mike and Melissa. Jane and Tom will be meeting us there later in the night--I am not sure if I have ever been so excited for a vacation! I get to spend time with my family, relax, soak up the sun, and just 'get away' from it all! I can't wait!

Going......Going......Gone!

Larkin decided last summer that she wanted to grow her hair out to donate it--and after a few trims it was long enough! She was very excited...and said she wasn't nervous at all because 'it will always grow back!' Jerry and I are very proud of her for donating and she is LOVING the new cut! No more snarls, tangles, or fighting over brushing it! Here is the first cut!

3/4 of the way done--she was commenting on how light it feels!

The final product! I think she looks amazing! And if someone knows where my little girl went.....let me know.

Valentine.....

Here is my conversation with Bennett last night before bed... he comes storming in my bedroom and in a mad voice says..

"I won't ever be able to have a Valentine, Mom."


"Why?"


"You REALLY think I'm ever moving out of your house? Valentines don't think that is cool."

Addicted to....

A few things that I have been addicted to the last month or so......

Laughing Cow Cheese...Yum. The kids (and Jerry) love it, too!

This shouldn't surpise anyone!!! DIET MT. DEW.....will always love and drink, no matter what.

Thanks to my friend, Bridget she introduced me to these little cookies that are incredibly crunchy and tasty--very satisfying, too!

I CAN'T STOP WATCHING.....I love reality television, but Bravo Reality TV is by far the best! LOVE IT!

Thanks to my good friend, Sara I am now addicted to ebay. I look for stuff that I don't need, want, or even care about. I just love looking to see how much things sell for-- maybe I should sell some of the stuff in my house....
