a little behind

This summer seems to be flying by...and I seem to get further and further behind in everything! That includes this blog! We have managed to have some fun this summer, but a lot of it has been work! I have to say I am more excited than ever to be done with my master's program....what am I going to do with all of my free time? My friend Sara is finishing up right now with her masters program (probably as I type this)..way to go Sara!

Since I have posted last, Bennett spent a weekend in Okabena, I spent a weekend in the Cities celebrating with my sister for her bachelorette party, Jerry and Larkin played some golf, Alex went fishing more times than we can count, and Mason has played a lot of baseball!! I can't wait for a weekend when the six of us can hang out at home and do some fun stuff together but I know it won't happen for awhile!

And of course Sunday was Father's Day..... and I am feeling a little guilty about not posting some pictures like I did for Mother's Day but I promise I will make up for it next year. Maybe video of each of you....So Happy Belated Father's Day to my more-than-awesome dad, wonderful father-in-law, amazing grandpa...all truly incredible people.

I hope all of you are having amazing summers..... I am now off to take Larkin to a friends house so she can spend a weekend at a cabin in Wisconsin!

Happy Birthday, Bennett!

It is so hard to believe that my 'baby' is going to be five years old in just a few hours! Bennett is always full of hugs and kisses and makes us all laugh. He is excited that Grandma Diane is coming to help him celebrate the day and that he gets a "flyboat" cake. I love the age he is at and the stories he tells....I can't imagine life without him. Mommy loves you so much, Bennett!

Happy 14th Birthday, Mason!

Today is Mason's 14th birthday...we wish him nothing but an amazing year! He is such a great kid and I am so lucky to have him as my step-son. He is a great student, athlete, brother, and son. Tonight he is going to the Twins Game with his mom and step-dad and the rest of the weekend he will be with us in the Cities for his baseball tournament...sounds like a pretty good weekend to me! Love you, Mas.

Some Pics From the Last Week!

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend, except for the fact that I forgot my camera! So, here are some pictures uploaded from my phone....not the best but they will do! Jerry took Larkin, Mason, and Alex out to Rosen on Friday while Bennett and I went to "Diego World" (Mall of America) with my sister Jane and Dylan. The boys had a great time...and Jane & I did, too!!

Because Dylan wasn't quite tall enough, Jane and I both had to go on some rides....it was usually Jane that they preferred! Here you see them getting ready for the roller coaster!!

Saturday evening was Brady's 1st Birthday Party! He is so cute and so laid back! Love it! I will have to post some pictures of him soon! Here is Hattie, his big sister! Love the smile! :)




Alex, Larkin, and Gretchen got some quality bonding time over the weekend! They had a lot of fun playing together at Grandma and Grandpa Rademacher's house. On Sunday, they were able to go to the cabin and do some swimming and fishing. Alex was pretty proud to catch a couple fish! How do you like Larkin and Gretchen's swimsuits?!?!? They were Jane's when she was their ages! I can't believe my mom still has them, but it was GREAT for the girls!


...And on Monday something great happened. The Rademacher-Vangsness-Hartel-Rotert Garden was started. Tilled, planted, and watered. Let's just hope something grows!! I am sure I will post pictures as soon as it happens. I have only checked about 10 times in three days.


....and no, I didn't forget a picture of Mason. I just don't have any on my phone. Only on my 'real' camera--so I will post some soon. And since I didn't post any pictures of him, I will let you know that in his last two games he has been 6 FOR 6!!! And we have another game tonight! It is so fun watching him play! Go Sauk Rapids! Who ever thought I would like baseball?!?
